It was fantastic to be in Paris for the 2026 European Aquatics Championships and witness another major Swedish swimming success. Sarah Sjöström won her 18th European Championship gold medal in the women's 50m butterfly, equaling the all-time record for the most European Championship gold medals won by a female swimmer. It was also especially exciting to see Sara Junevik claim bronze in the same event. Congratulations to both athletes!
